Discover The Beautiful Blues

Meet the beautiful blues for an adventure and spiritual journey into the centre of one of Australia's best climbing spots, rise above the hustle and bustle of Sydney and indulge in the fresh crisp mountain air. We will experience the raw elements as we get in touch with nature from a less likely angle “cliff side view”. There will be climbing, abseiling, hiking, yoga, sports conditioning, ice pools and hot baths, all jam packed into a 4-day adventure.

You will learn the basics of rock climbing, abseiling, sports strength/conditioning, yoga, cold therapy and pranayama breathwork.  Meet your new to-be friends, together you conquer your fears, support one another to move past mental and physical barriers, and learn new skills while maintaining your safety and well-being under the guidance of professional guides. We take a holistic approach as we understand the importance of relaxation and recovery. After two physically demanding active days, wind down in hot baths to end the trip. This experience will be a sensory overload so brace yourself as we take you on a journey of your inner and outer world.

DAY 1 

Day 1 - meet at 9 am in Sydney,  after a coffee we will jump in our jeep and head to the blue mountains, first stop Katoomba, take a stroll in the town and enjoy the quaint little town walk down to see the iconic tree sisters and short hike breath in the fresh mountain air the head back to town for a lunch at the local cafe yellow Delhi where they serve locally sauced and grown organic food. after lunch, we will make our way to our beautiful home to settle in. 

 

At the house, there will be a short audiovisual instruction by our qualified instructor Michael, in the fundamentals of abseiling and basic rock climbing including:

 

  • Safe movement on rock and approach to the crag

  • Efficient use of holds

  • Rope handling

  • Tying knots

  • Belay anchors and belaying techniques.

 

This will help you to build your rope skills, hone your climbing technique and expand your comfort zone by taking on a new challenge.

 

There will be a recap in the morning so no stress. Relax the body and mind and get a good nights sleep for the day ahead.

  • Transport from Sydney to Katoomba

 More Info

On this adventure, you’ll learn to use the latest in modern abseiling and rock climbing equipment,  ropes, knots and outdoor safely. Ancient breathing techniques, body strength and conditioning for climbing and general wellbeing, yoga techniques, the art of sports recovery, meditation and relaxation.

 

This activity is physically low-impact, if you can walk up a flight of stairs you can participate. Climbs are graded so those with a little more experience can try some more difficult and technical climbs. The workshop will be based on group abilities, Elissa has experience in reading the room and providing a safe learning environment to suit the needs and fitness level of the students. We do encourage you to push your physical limits and learn what your body is capable of but it’s also important to know your limits. So if you prefer, take it easy.

 

Please keep in mind that we are dealing with mother nature and we can’t control the weather so in the case of extreme wet weather there may be changes to the itinerary. If no days permit for climbing groups choice we can make out way to the climbing gym for indoor or hike in the mountains and get in and abseil in the case of lighter rain. 

 

Our team brings along a basic first aid kit, but we recommend you also carry the following :

Ibuprofen painkillers, Diamox for altitude sickness, personal prescriptions as required, diarrhea tablets, rash cream, basic toiletries, wet wipes, hand sanitiser, women's sanitary.
