Breathe in the pure air to the deepest part of your being, as you journey into Pranayama breathwork, yoga, movement, arts, hiking, and camping adventure. While you enjoy eating organic fresh foods and connecting with like-minded souls in rich, fulfilling campfire conversation.

About this retreat:   HIKING / CAMPING / YOGA 

This transformational experience helps you to explore your inner and outer environment and reconnect with yourself, nature and the flow of life. Our trips are small boutiques and customised according to the group's desire

 

Yoga and Movement:

 

Each day we will include one yoga or movement class and a night session of pranayama breathwork and meditation guided. We will explore yoga asana, acro-yoga, primal movement, handstand and more. The class is for anyone from beginners to advanced levels and the class is tailored based on the energy of the group; and will provide variations to accommodate all fitness levels. 

 

Day-to-day activities will include: exploring breathwork techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing, box breath, introduction to breath retention, Tummo breathing, Kapalbhati and Sitali; guided meditation, functional body movement, Zenthai techniques and yoga asana. 

 

Please note: All classes take place outdoors, and exploring movement in the elements provides its own challenges. 

 

Hiking:  Grade 4 - Bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. 

 

Share: We encourage you to bring your unique gift and share it at this gathering. YAMA Is a space to express yourself through what brings you joy? Radical self-expression, music, flow toys, games, arts, singing, or dance.

 

Our community is about learning, sharing, caring and connecting with the natural world while discovering some of the world's most exotic locations.

 

Together, on this experience on foot through Nepal's Himalayas, we dive deep into the most humbling and rich local culture and celebrate Mother Nature and her unique landscape, wild yaks, rhinos and other incredible wildlife inhabitants of this land.

Dress-ups: If you follow the @yamamovement insta, you will know that we love dress-ups. On all our trips, we encourage our guests to play dress-ups. Please pack a funky little outfit that's not too big and bulky and fits the theme of radical self-expression. Bring your own artistic style, maybe colour & brightness, black & darkness, cross-dressing or animal embodiment. Whatever suits your vibe. Perhaps you have always felt like a unicorn, and that's what you want to embody, so release your inner unicorn. Be bold, be fun and be free to express yourself through costume.

DAY 1 

 Day 01 - Hobart to Scamander 

 

Meet and greet your soon to be best friends in Hobart city, our adventure begins a 3-hour drive eastbound towards Scamander. There will be various beach stopovers and a delicious lunch on the way. We should reach our destination in mid-afternoon where we will set up camp, do our first yoga class, pranayama and end the day with a healthy warm dinner.

 

Walking time: short walk on this day 

Terrain: beach

Getting There:  Fly to Hobart International airport, recommend accommodation.

Accommodation: Comfortable camping all gear provided.

  • Camp gear: swag, sleeping bag.
